Bridget: These are the comfy work trousers you were looking for

 

I was happy to be selected as a pattern tester for the new Love Notions Bridget trousers. These are a collaboration with Whitney of Tomkat Stitchery. These fit sizes 0-32 with 34-59.5" hip. They are intended for a stable knit fabric like ponte with a 25% horizontal stretch. They use a 9" zipper, interfacing, and optional thin woven fabric for pockets. On the back they have faux or functional welt pockets. #BridgetTrousers

I made my test pair from a khaki ponte, my final pair from black liverpool, and a pair since them from a textured ponte from Surge fabrics.

Some lessons learned from these three that I've made

• use a thin lining fabric for the pockets and cut both sides so they don't go all the way to the edge of the fly. Even better, do a facing.
• use the back welt pockets that go to the waistband it's much neater
• you may not need the full belly - do a toile
