Winter Running Sewing and New Greenstyle Vapor Jacket and Vest

Yay, Greenstyle FINALLY has a running windbreaker that can be made with non-stretch woven (0-30% stretch). This is the new Vapor which I pre-tested for them. Fits chest 30-61" and hip 32-62".

So many options:
  • Sleeves, vest
  • Collar, hood
  • Vented back, colorblocked back, solid back
  • Elastic channel back
  • Hip length or low hip length
  • No pockets, 3 pockets which can be double, single welt with or without zipper
  • Sleeves can have elastic at the cuff or not and elastic in the hood or not
  • FBA front with darts or not
This is made from 1.6oz HyperD in Moroccan Blue from RipstopByTheRoll.com . The vent is some lightweight mesh from stash.

I used the colorblocked version FBA, vented back, elastic, longer length. I used a reflective piping in as many of the seams as made sense. I sized down for this which they recommend for thin fabrics. I think I would prefer if I had made the size I measured. The only thing that is not per pattern is the hanging loop. It is just a piece of the main fabric with a piece of muslin in it.

Now that I've made the UL windshell and this, I definitely prefer this but it's mostly because it's really made for my shape and fits better. The UL windshell is a fantastic pattern, but not best for my shape.
